| Jorge Cantu released
The Reds have released Jorge Cantu. It was somewhat suprising since he played well after he got to Cincinnati. There is talk that he was let go because he was due for arbitration, and they did not want to pay what they would have to, and they wanted to clear a spot for the Rule 5 draft.
