Griffey ticked off?

In a Thursday article, Ken Griffey Jr. expressed his frustration about being pulled in a double-switch on Tuesday. "I was double-switched for the first time, and the last time," Griffey, smiling, told reporters. "If it happens again, I will run around in circles. I'll be like Tanner in the Astrodome." The 10-time Gold Glover doesn't sound like he's ticked off, but since he did bring it up... do you think there's any heat between him and interim manager Pete Mackanin?

Re: Griffey ticked off?

Griffey should have been that eager to stay on the field for his years in Cincy rather than on the DL.

Re: Griffey ticked off?

You have to like Mackanin's style. He plays no favorites with the star players. Griffey has been give the star treatment on the team for a while. It appears Mackanin is not worried about stroking egos. He wants to win.

If I was a manager, I would orry when my players do not have a "Tanner Attitude"...as Ernie Banks would say, "Lets play two"...
