The Reds are going to be major players on the seller's market this season. Until the trade deadline, I am going to try and post every Reds trade rumor I find.

The first one I read today was with Minnesota. They get Dunn and the main player the reds get is Matt Garza. I would imagine the Twins would have to pony up one more player

I saw another with the Cubs. They send the Reds Jacque Jones and Sean Marshall for Griffey Jr.

The yankees have shown interest in Weathers. They are allegedly going to send Joba Chamberlain and Ian Kennedy.

I have heard Hatteberg's name mentioned to make room for Joey Votto, but no teams or players yet.

Cincy gets: Justin Hampson and Clay Hensley

Pads get: Adam Dunn

Would cincinnati get enough in return for Dunn in this deal?

Nope...keep Dunn until you get a better deal...actually, I like Dunn...I'd keep him period...

This is not actually a trade rumor. The Reds are thinking about taking the option on Dunn's contract next season, and trying to trade him in the off season. They are taking a cue from the Yankees who did this with Sheffield. They are hoping to get more and better prospects that way.

Hmm, might work, but it's a gamble - sounds like they really don't want Dunn, and if this move doesn't work, they'd be stuck paying him.

The Cincinnati Post reports that when Seattle fans asked Ken Griffey Jr. if he would ever consider returning to Seattle, Griffey said he might finish his career with an 'S' on his cap. Griffey is under contract with the Reds for the rest of this season and next season.

I don't know how I missed this, but do you think they may make a trade with them this year if they make a run for the AL west?

Another Griffey rumor:

I saw on a couple places that the Yanks may be looking for to Griffey to help their struggling offense. He would have to waive his no-trade clause because he said he would never play in NY, but playing with ARod again could sway him. I didn't see who the Yanks were rumored to give up.

According to St. Louis post dispatch: "Cardinals GM Walt Jocketty has a year left on his contract, but if for whatever reason he asks out after this season, there's a growing buzz in baseball circles that he could end up in Cincinnati. Reds owner Bob Castellini, who used to be part of the Cardinals' ownership group, admires Jocketty. "

Could he straighten out the mess that Krivsky has made of this team?

Very interesting. Jocketty is definitely one of the better GMs in the game. If he can't help the situation in Cincy, I doubt there are many who could.

According to the Philadelphia Daily News, "Scouts say the Reds are alerting other clubs that everybody on their roster is available except Aaron Harang, Homer Bailey, Josh Hamilton, Alex Gonzalez and Brandon Phillips." Let the fire sale begin, I guess. So who's the first guy to go?

I heard about them saying this last week, but didnt hear any names involved with it.

From what I have been hearing, Hatteberg will most likely be the first. They want to make room for Joey Votto who has been tearing up the minors. If he works out like he should, Conine will be the next.

Personally, I don't like Gonzalez as the SS, but that is one of Krivsky's guys, so he is safe for now.

Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports had this little tidbit in his latest post:

The Reds are scrambling to create a market for left fielder Adam Dunn. The Padres aren't ruling out a run at Dunn, but first they want to see what they get from Milton Bradley. The market for Dunn might not develop until closer to the July 31 non-waiver deadline, when teams grow more desperate for power ...

No matter how much he strikes out, some team out there will dish out the prospects to get the guy who can crank out homers.

You are right. Somebody will trade for him, but the Reds won't get anything for him. I don't see the Padres trading for him. He will go to an AL team I think. His defense is too much of a liability.

I just saw in Buster Olney's Blog that there is a rumor that the Reds are talking to the Braves about Bronson Arroyo. I didn't see any names specifically linked, but there was a reference to Saltalamachia.
