| Reds Defense I don't think I have seen a team that has played this bad defensively in my lifetime. I watched most of the game last night until I could not take it anymore. They were only charged with 2 errors, but could have easily had 5 if the scorers weren't kind. Hopper in LF tried to catch a ball and looked like he kicked it before his glove touched it. Moeller twice tried to throw a runner out and one went into CF. SS Alex Gonzalez missed an easy grounder that could have gotten them out of an inning. He was brought in to make those plays.
I have been wanting Narron fired for a while now, and I think this has to open managements eyes. He is not the ones making the errors, but he is not improving them either. They are playing like they have no leadership. Could you imagine a Sparky Anderson or Lou Piniella team making plays like this and not being read the riot act? |
