Reds bullpen

I am getting tired of seeing the Reds have a lead in the 7th inning only to lose it by terrible relief pitching. I don't know how many blown saves Weathers has had this year, but I can think of 4 right off the top of my head.

This is horrible:
ERA WHIP
Coffey 5.70 1.50
Weathers 2.70 1.05
Stanton 8.10 1.60
Santos 3.77 1.60
coutlangus 4.82 1.39
Salmon 4.91 1.36

Salmon gets a small pass from me because he is new. He took the place of Courmier in the pen. He was useless, Salmon is an upgrade there. Stanton should not be allowed to touch a ball again. I wouldn't even let him stitch the ball. Narron needs to figure out how to use Coffey. He is a good pitcher as long as the game is not on the line. If there is any pressure he folds, which when you think about it is useless also. Weathers is not a closer. He would make a great setup man.

There is nothing on the horizon to even look forward to. From what I am hearing, they are not going to be making any moves. Krivsky is staying with who he has. With the dead arms in this pen, why would they not bring up guys from Louisville that are pitching good to see what they have at the next level. How much worse could they be??

Re: Reds bullpen

Leave Weathers alone, he is part of my bull pen by committee in the GTG league...

He is better suited to be a setup man. There may not be a choice about it. Guardado is supposed to come off the DL end of may/early june. If he can pitch at all, he will be the closer.
