The Reds chopped their roster down to 43 players. The biggest names were Joey Votto, Homer Bailey,Brian Meadows, and Kerry Ligtenberg.

Meadows and Ligtenberg were released. Everybody else was sent to minors

He had an OK spring with a few really good starts. They wanted him to get innings in the minors. I expect to see him some time this season. The cut that shocked me was Votto. He played great hitting and defense. They wanted him to get steady ABs at Louisville. He is one injury away from taking the position.

Mark Belhorn- has a couple days to decide if he wants to accept a minor league assignment

C- Ryan Jorgenson
INF- Anderson Machado
OF- DeWayne Wise- He was on the team last season for a while, but there is just not room for him this year.

No big losses here...Machado was once an up and coming talent with the Phillies...how was his Spring...
