| Cowher believes in Bengals Pro football analyst Bill Cowher says he thinks the Cincinnati Bengals can become a playoff contender as soon as next year. The former Pittsburgh Steelers coach and current CBS analyst says a turnaround for the struggling Bengals will depend on how quarterback Carson Palmer returns from an elbow injury. Palmer is expected to be fully recovered from a torn ligament and tendon by the time training camp opens in July. Cowher says Palmer's presence on the field allows the Bengals to really use their offensive talents. He says a stable defense helps, but it starts with the quarterback. He says he also liked that the team responded to a feisty outburst by coach Marvin Lewis last season by winning three consecutive games. The Official KFVS12 and Heartland News Web Site | Cowher says Bengals turnaround possible Watch out Marvin Lewis. Maybe Cowher is after your job. Of course Cowher was also heard to say the Cowboys could win this year.

| Re: Cowher believes in Bengals It could be some of the Lowlife in the team, but this is pro football and having a perfect roster is not possible these day. I think they need another coach like Tony Sparano, who could turn the team around (180 degree) back to a winning record, who could instill fear into the heart of each player, letting them know if they can't perform their duty, they will be replaced by the next guy. Fear and Knowledge will keep them aline.

| Re: Cowher believes in Bengals How about they drop Ocho Cinco. Shake things up a bit and try out some new things. Second thought, trade him for some draft picks. This is a rebuilding team in denial, forget about next year, think about 3 years. Palmer can still be good then, and if you can trade for a second 1st round pick, they could have an offensive and defensive play-maker out of the draft. If they really want it next year, obviously changes will have to be made. I think one good one would be to get rid of Ocho Cinco, and find a better wide reciever. Someone like Andre Johnson or Bobby Engram could really help that team out.
