Re: Bengals pick up QB Ragone

Cincinnati fans, meet your new backup QB. The Bengals have claimed QB Dave Ragone off waivers from the Houston Texans. I'm stunned to see Houston part ways with this up-and-comer, who I honestly think will have zero difficulty beating out Anthony Wright and Doug Johnson as Cincy's second stringer. The only possible hiccup in the fact that he's a lefty.

See, I never understood Texas taking Ragone when they were totally sold on Carr. The poor guy just sat for Texas...I like the lefty...I think he has skills...just was not going to show them off on the bench. And As much as I hate to say it, the former Cowboy, former Raven Wright is not going to be the easiest guy in the world to beat out. The guy can play.

Re: Bengals pick up QB Ragone

You think? I remember seeing flashes from him (Wright), but that was years ago. I can't see Ragone NOT beating him out.

I personally would take Ragone, since Wright has had two shots and not kept a starting job...but I really think there are a lot of worse relief pitchers in the league than Wright.
