Houshmandzadeh Probably going to Skip Drills

Cincinnati wide receiver Chad Johnson already has stated he does not plan to attend the Bengals' voluntary offseason conditioning program that starts Monday.

But he is not going to be alone.

Cincinnati’s other Pro Bowl wide receiver, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, also is expected to skip the start of the voluntary conditioning program for some of the same reasons Johnson is not attending.

It sets up one of the stickiest situations in the NFL, an issue that
threatens to hang over the team until and through training camp.

Bengals' sticky situation worse than expected

Same here. With Johnson and Chris Henry, it's not like the Bengals can stand to have too many more problem children at the wideout position.

You know it isn't a good thing when your top two receiver are going to hold out and your third one is a criminal.

They should just let them go. They are going to cause more trouble than they are worth.

Does anyone get the idea that the Bengals are a very poorly run franchise ala the Raiders and Lions? It just seems like they're always having trouble and doing something stupid. A shame since they have such a talent in Palmer.

They absolutely are. Mike Brown is a notorious tightwad, always has been. The character issues are a fairly new thing for this club... in the days of Kenny Anderson, Cris Collinsworth, Boomer Esiason and Tim Krumrie, you never really heard about character problems on the team. But there always has been some sort of problem.

Can't let them both walk...for better or worse you owe the fan a good product on the field and these guys are part of that equation...They should not have gotten into this position. Trade them early if you see this coming...but to not act...totally stupid.

I think chad opens up t.j to catch balls, if chad leaves, t.j's numbers go down

Got that right. The two need each other...and Palmer needs them both.
