The Bengals suffered a minor setback at minicamp over the weekend when cornerback Johnathan Joseph suffered a foot injury.
Coach Marvin Lewis said the second-year cornerback is expected to be ready for the start of training camp in seven weeks.
Lewis said Joseph would have his foot "surgically set" today. Lewis declined, however, to say whether the cornerback suffered a fracture or would need surgery to repair the injury.
"He will be in a cast or a boot for a little bit," Lewis said Sunday afternoon, following the Bengals' completion of their fifth and final practice of mandatory minicamp. "He should be ready to go at the start of camp without his shoe."
Joseph suffered the injury in the Saturday afternoon practice inside Paul Brown Stadium. He fell after cutting to cover wide receiver Chad Johnson.
