Bengals showing interest in...

Showing interest in both Grady Jackson as well as Sam Adams to beef up the middle of the line. However, Sam Adams is looking for around $3.5 million per, and Marvin is unlikely to go that high.
Also interested in saftey Dexter Jackson from Tampa. Again, Marvin Lewis is not interested in bank breaking free agents but we need someone to help on the run. One more season of watching kaseveharn flailing away out there and I'm gonna go nuts.
Jamie Martin visited Cincinnati today. I still feel it will be Anthony Wright or Tommy Maddux next season. Sage Rosenfels told the Bengals that he was offered $1.3 million by the texans, and the Bengals told him to go ahead and take it. So, whoever takes the back up role in cincinnati needs to expect less than 1.3.

Both Adams and Dexter Jackson would be good signings. I know they don't want to overspend on Adams, but they really do need a big ol' run-stuffer in the middle of that D-line. They really should bite the bullet and just sign these guys, even if they demand a little more than the Bengals originally wanted to spend.

Re: Bengals showing interest in...

Lavar Arrington is reported to be visiting with his agents, the Poston brothers, the Natti' tonight. It sounds like Marvin would love to add Arringtion to his Defense, and Arrington would love to join it, but the problem once again is going to be money.
However, Arrington, who bought out his contract in Washington himself, may be willing to play for a good team in a good situation for less money. Lets hope so.

According to Yahoo! Sports, Sam Adams is still likely to become a Bengal.

Cincinnati still looks like the destination for Adams, but he's waiting for the Bengals to clear up some of their other free-agent priorities. Wherever he lands, he's not expected to be much of a pass-rush factor anymore, but he can still be a good upgrade against the run with his size. Right now, that's exactly what Marvin Lewis' defense needs.
Are they just pretty much looking at him then a QB, or are there other needs they should address as well? Seems to me that if they come out of this offseason with a new backup for Palmer and an improved D, they've done pretty darn well for themselves.
