Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry died early Thursday morning, according to a report on the Charlotte Observer Web site.

Police said Henry, who suffered severe injuries when he "came out" of the back of a pickup truck during a domestic dispute in northern Charlotte, died at 6:36 a.m. at Carolinas Medical Center.

A cause of death has not been released.

I saw that this morning on the news. How sad.

He was suspended like what, 5 times. I thought this guy was a lost cause and that the Bengals were nuts to take him back.
But he really had turned his life around it seems.
My deepest sympathy to his family and the Bengals team.
Ocho was pretty shook up when he was interviewed.

I saw that too.

I'm really not that much on pro ball. I'm more a college ball guy. But when I read this story, it just hit me this guy had turned his life around and then this happened. Truely sad.

Sean Taylor really.Wasn't Taylor shot by the people trying to break into his house and rob him?Henry died falling out of the back of a moving truck while trying to beat his way inside to get to his wife.I fail to see the similarity there.

I think the similarity is in two young men who died way too soon.
And it was his fiancee, I believe.
Not that it makes much diff.
She is going to carry a terrible burden the rest of her life.
