| Ohio State is a bunch of wimps In this story, Steve Helwagen does a write-up on OSU's future non-conference opponents. In it, he mentions that OSU and UC were scheduled to play in 2012 at Paul Brown Stadium, but that game has been moved to Columbus. This set off a small firestorm in UC-land. I chuckle when I read the responses. Bucknuts.com - Marquee Opponents Dot OSU's Future Schedules I think this was a chickensh!t move by Ohio State. I hope the OSU fans on this forum won't try to defend this. It's just plain lame. It's a real shame for the city of Cincinnati, the state of Ohio, UC fans like me who would have had tickets for the game at Paul Brown, and the OSU fans in southern Ohio who might have had a chance to attend this game. I'd love to hear OSU's position on why they felt compelled to make this move. |

| Re: Ohio State is a bunch of wimps Hmm... well, they DID play at Paul Brown stadium once already, so it's not like they're scared of going there. It was a mutual decision between the two schools (which tells me the Bearcats preferred the large sum of money they got for switching to the home game). And it's not like they're the only school in the history of the NCAA to pay off a school to switch a home game to an away game. I'm no Ohio State fan, although I do often seem to find myself in the unusual position of defending them, and while has got to be disappointing for Cincinnati fans, I can't see getting all worked up over it.
