| UC football opens Aug. 28 The University of Cincinnati Bearcats will open the 2008 football season on Thursday, Aug. 28, against Eastern Kentucky. The game will be at Nippert Stadium. The Bearcats beat the Colonels, 31-0, in 2006. UC is 6-0 all-time against current members of the Ohio Valley Conference. UC has six non-league games next season, and will play 13 games overall. UC football opens Aug. 28
