Re: Jose Contreras Royals dominance

Some pitchers just seem to own opposing teams, and apparently Jose Contreras of the White Sox is one of those guys. In 10 career starts against the Kansas City Royals, prior to last night's game, he was 7-1 with a 2.91 ERA and has held K.C. hitters to a .218 batting average. He lost to the Royals yesterday, but most of it was thanks largely to five unearned runs in the fourth inning.

Re: Jose Contreras Royals dominance

The White Sox didn't perform well defensively against the Royals, last night. But as for the Kansas City Royals, I must admit that they have been on a hot streak lately with some impressive wins over the Twins, White Sox and Boston. It is a little late for these kinds of wins, but maybe they will carry on into next season. I can only imagine the Royals in the Playoffs!
