White Sox Increase Lead With Offense

Jim Thome returned last night after missing several days due to injury. After Tadahito Iguchi's two-run, game tying home run in the 8th, Thome belted the go ahead base hit. The White Sox beat the Devil Rays and are now 1.5 games up on the Twins in the wild card.

SouthSideSox has a great recap of the thrilling game.

Re: White Sox Increase Lead With Offense

Thanks for giving us the link to the Chicago White Sox blog. Pretty soon, we will rely on blogs for the news instead of corporate organizations like ESPN. Technology and our culture is changing everyday.

It sounded like an exciting game. I didn't have the opportunity to watch it on TV, instead I watched the Mets rock the Rockies. Thome is an incredible batter without a doubt, and I regret thinking that he wouldn't do well this year. From last year's statistics, he looked no better than Angel Berroa of the Kansas City Royals. Finally, he returns to the way he was a couple of years ago.

The Twins are tough, but I think the White Sox (2005 WS Champs) can hold onto the lead. Lets see what happens!
