The White Sox came out strong ready to beat the defending American League champions. Floyd got the win with an impressive outing, giving up 2 runs in 7.0 innings pitched. Then Richard and Carrasco were able to split two innings and keep the Rays scoreless. A.J. Pierzynski had 2 RBIs and 2 runs. Anderson also had a good game scoring 2 runs and going 3-5.

Pierzynski had a great game, driving in toruns that added to the White Sox 12 run offensive attack. He also hit a homerun.
OTHER GAME NOTES-- The White Sox bullpen looked reliable in this game, although they did have a big lead. If they could come through like that in big games, the Sox could see success this year.
- Pierzynski, Quentin, and Thome each hit homeruns this game.
