Right-hander Gavin Floyd and the Chicago White Sox agreed Sunday to a $15.5 million, four-year contract, a deal that includes a club option for 2013.

He pitched a great game for us yesterday. It;s too bad the bats couldn't pick him up. I sure hope this isn't the business-as-usual "homerun or nothing" offense like it has been the last couple of years.

We went from a big homerun on opening day to no runs the next day. Hopefully we can go get 'em this afternoon.

I think the Sox could have a good year. Maybe even make the play-offs.

I say the Twins are your biggest obstacle to the play-offs. I still don't think the Tigers have a good enough defense to go to far. However I could imagine them having a good season.

It seems like the Twins are there every year....even when it seems like they've dismantled their team, there they are right in the thick of things.

It seems like the so-called experts favorite pick is the Cleveland Indians every year......we'll see what happens. The White Sox are always the team that never gets any love in their own city or in the national media. Then we just jump up and bite the AL Central like in 2005 and 2008.

Yankees fan. It gets harder every year though. Sabathia seems like a waste of money. Burnett was given a big paycheck for an ERA over 4.00....

I got a sneaking feeling that it's going to work out just fine for your guys this year. Burnett and Sabathia are fine but, I think the good pickup will end up being Teixeria.

I think Burnett and Sabathia will be good. Not worth what they were paid though. Tex supposedly heats up later in the season, including the October area, which we need.
