White Sox vs. Rangers

Today is a big day for both the White Sox and the Texas Rangers because they are playing each other. The White Sox are on a three game skid. Starting for them today is Garland who has the highest era on the rotation with 6.25. The Rangers are 28-25 and are 3 1/2 games on top of the A's in the West. The Rangers definitely want to protect their lead and the White Sox want to make a dent in the growing lead the Tigers are making. Starting pitcher for the Rangers is Loe who is 3-5 in his eleven starts with a 4.48 era. This is a good opportunity for the Sox because the Tigers are facing the Red Sox. It should be a very interesting series.

Re: White Sox vs. Rangers

The White Sox have now lost four in a row. The Rangers beat them by a score of 3-4 yesterday. Garland pitched well for his six (almost seven) innings giving up only three runs on five hits. The Sox had just as many hits in fewer innings but still only scored three runs. With the score tied in the ninth, the Sox reliever Jenks gave up a walk and then a double letting in the winning run. Tough game.

Tonite the Sox play the Rangers again for the second game of the series giving the ball to Vazquez who is 6-3 with a 3.86 era. For the Ranges its Padilla on the mound who is 5-3 and has a 4.57 era in eleven starts. Let's hope the Sox gain some momentum before facing the Tigers next week.

Re: White Sox vs. Rangers

The White Sox snapped a five game losing streak last night by beating the first place Rangers 8-6. Vazquez got the win for the Sox by pitching six plus innings. The bullpen did ok for the Sox and Jenks redeemed himself by getting four outs for his fifteenth save.

Tonite the Sox are putting Buehrle on the mound who has an awesome 2.89 era and is 6-3 in eleven starts. His opponent is Rheinecker who only has twelve innings pitched this year but is coming off of a great win versus Seattle. Should be very interesting.

Re: White Sox vs. Rangers

Texas too two games out of three from the World Champion White Sox. Rheinecker of the Rangers held the Sox to only seven hits in eight innings. Buehrle got pulled in the seventh after giving six runs on nine hits. The Sox bullpen was awful giving up five more runs to the Rangers.

Tomorrow the Sox start a three game series vs. the "are they for real" Detroit Tigers.

THAT should be a fun one to watch. A real good test to see how far the Tigers have come.
