White Sox vs. Indians Although this might not be a very important series in general, because the Indians are way out of it, IT IS a pretty important series to the White Sox. The Sox have the Rangers coming up next and the Tigers are playing the Yankees. This gives the Sox a good opportunity to catch the Tigers before playing them later on this week. Lets take a quick look at the White Sox in eager anticipation of their series with the Tigers. Rotation Buehrle 6-3; 2.89 era Vazquez 6-3; 3.86 era Garcia 7-2; 4.31 era Garland 4-2; 6.25 era Contreras 5-0; 1.83 era Saves Bobby Jenks with 14 Batting RBI's- Thome 49; Konerko 41; Dye 36 Homers- Thome 20 In tonite's game versus the Indians the White Sox are putting Garcia on the mound to take on Westbrook who has a 5.58 era. I am very interested to see how the Sox perform tonite and against the Rangers in the next series.

Re: White Sox vs. Indians The White Sox lost their second in a row to the Indians by a score of 5-0. Garcia for the Sox, gave up five runs in six innings before handing it over to Politte. They couldn't even score one run off of Westbrook who gave up only six hits and not even one walk. This loss brings the White Sox's record to 33-19 and keeps them one and half out of first due to the Tigers loss to the Yanks. In the last game of the series with the Indians, its Contreras who is leading the league with his 1.83 era. For the Indians, its Byrd who is 4-4 and has a 5.22 era.

Re: White Sox vs. Indians The White Sox lost their third in row to the Indians yesterday. Are the Indians back on track and the team that everyone claimed them to be? Or are the White Sox in a bit of a slump. I negelected to mention that the White Sox have not been shut out this season before Wednesday. Is this a reflection on Indians pitching or are the White Sox tired? In this "slugfest" the Indians scored four runs in one inning TWICE. Contreras got killed for six earned runs in five innings on eight hits. The White Sox bullpen gave up three homers as well. The Sox bats didn't do so shabby either knocking in eight, but it wasn't enough. Is this the most runs Contreras has given up in one game...EVER? http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/B/BBA_WHITE_SOX_INDIANS?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLAT E=DEFAULT&CTIME=2006-06-01-23-26-55
