| MLB Is Investigating the White Sox and Their Blow-Up Dolls ![]() The White Sox remain the gift that keeps giving. One day, Ozzie Guillen is calling the White Sox Chicago's biznatch. The next day he's letting reporters see his club's crude blowup doll collection, complete with suggestively placed bats and the slogan "You've got to push." Yep, that's going to rile the locals: But this isn't about reporters' feelings. Reporters are conduits to the fans. What a team does behind closed doors is its own business. But once the locker room opens, the franchise is on public display. So, how do you like your team now, Sox fans? Do you think the players respect women? I'm not so sure about that. And the Association for Women in Sports Media is none too pleased about it. So now, MLB is stepping in. A spokesman for Major League Baseball said today the league is investigating an incident in the White Sox clubhouse in Toronto involving inflatable dolls. Pat Courtney of Major League Baseball wouldn't comment further, declining to say if he felt the display was appropriate. "We are looking into it," he said. "We're talking to the club." |

| Re: MLB Is Investigating the White Sox and Their Blow-Up Dolls Some of these professional sports figures just don't get it. Like it or not the media will dig and dig until it finds a good story. Something as insane as blow up dolls in a locker room isn't going to stay a secret for very long. Good job guys. You're really my hero's !!

| Re: MLB Is Investigating the White Sox and Their Blow-Up Dolls This sort of thing is always disrespect Seahawker. Actually, I dont care either. But like LSC said, someone is going to find out and I am not so sure if the club house is all that much a sanctuary if the media gets in there. They arent really meant to offend in particular, I suppose. Just men being men at their worse. No, not all men are like that. |

| Re: MLB Is Investigating the White Sox and Their Blow-Up Dolls I'm certainly not going to get into a moral issue because we all have different morals but this is total disrespect. Not only for women but for ones own self. If those things weren't distasteful you'd find them in WalMart instead of some seedy joint down a dark alley. If it is something you'd take home and show Mom then maybe I'm wrong ... but I don't think so. |

I'd have to say you are right. Hey, no one said these guys are that bright. In spite of the fact that they all went to college. Common sense dictates that this is in bad taste. But how many times have we seen that common sense isn't really all that common.
