Is Jim Thome a Hall of Famer?

Jim Thome is off to a slow start for the White Sox. at 37 he is hitting .172 with 4 homers...but he has compiled 511 homers and 1411 RBIs in an 18 year big league career. Is he Hall of Fame worthy?

It's such a crapshoot these days. The numbers are there, but I don't think so. He was never a guy you could call a great player.

He was a very good player, but not HOF good. I hate when players hang around long enough to compile stats that should get them in. He had a few nice seasons in Cleveland, but not enough.

He also has Ked over 2,000 times in his career...even the Mick stopped short of that, though Reggie Jackson went over...still there is that scared 500 homer plateau...if that is no longer in play, what is these days???
