John Valentin hit for the cycle in a game that the White Sox pulled off a triple play,only the second man to accomplish this-Chuck Klein was the other. Valentin also completed his own unassisted triple play against Seattle two years earlier!

Overall, Jose Valentin is the better player compared to John Valentin. Am I right?

John Valentin for the Red Sox was a decent player. Jose valentin has struck out over 1,100 times in less than 5,000 at bats, but has hit over 200 home runs. Jose is a terrible fielder, John was an average fielder. John hit for a much better average than Jose.

But I think John Valentin is inactive right now (retired, etc.)

Jose Valentin had some nice hits this season for the Mets, but I don't think he has a big impact on the ball club.
