White Sox 3B Josh Fields has been named the American League player of the week.

According to the Associated Press, "Fields hit .524 (11-for-21) with three home runs and six RBI in six games. The third baseman also had a 1.190 slugging percentage and scored 10 runs... On the season, Fields is hitting .249 with 22 home runs and 65 RBI in 94 games." Fields is a rookie, and it sure sounds like this kid is worth keeping an eye on.
