Well, they may have gotten off to a slow start, but now the White Sox are finally playing like defending World Series champions. Yesterday, Mark Buehrle spread four hits over eight innings to get his third straight victory. Thome also hit his 8th homer, and all of a sudden, Chicago has won 6 straight and 10 of their last 11. This is more like it, eh, ChiSox fans?

Lets see how long this will keep up. Until then, throw them a bone.

The White Sox look like the new New York Yankees, pin stripes and all. They dominate at the plate. They are a team that relies on their hitting not on fragile arms. Its as the announcer from the Sox said a week or two ago. With men on base and down a run...needing to score, "Last year in a situation like this, it was automatic" Young, smart, strong, confident and healthy.

Seattle finally ended the streak yesterday, beating Chicago 4-3 in 11 innings. Still, the fact remains that the White Sox still have a share of the best record in baseball at 13-6 and are off to a better start than they were last season. Its hard to believe that they won't wind up running away with the division again this season.

As of right now, the White Sox have the best record in the majors by a half a game. The tigers, reds, astros, cards, and the mets are real close. This, so far, is an interesting season. The reds (biggest shocker yet) are going to be tough to beat!
