With Jon Garland a free agent after the 2008 season, he is without question the most likely Chicago White Sox starting pitcher to be moved.
The team nearly traded him in two previous offseasons, and the emergence of Javier Vazquez makes Garland expendable.
GM Ken Williams will try to get two relievers – at least one of them proven – for Garland.

Garland could be gone - Rumors - MLB - Yahoo! Sports
I honestly don't see what the Sox could get for Garland. His career numbers are
4.48 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and Opponent batting average of .272....What does everybody else think? Should the Sox trade him? Does he have trade market value?
