Burhle off Market

the Chicago Sun Times reports that Mark Burhle will not be traded to the Red Sox nor any where else because hes off market and close to an exstenion with Sox suprised as i am by this

Yeah, me too. It seemed like such a certainty that he was gonna get dealt. The White Sox seemed so hellbent on rebuilding. I wonder what made them change their minds. Maybe no one was offering good enough prospects for Kenny Williams' taste?

To me, it was the right move. You don't trade 28 year-old lefties, unless you're getting back can't-miss type players.

the new twist is that Burhle and the Sox have a friday deadline to agree on exstention if not they will trade him

Interesting as it seems Buerhle would have been the top pitcher on the market and they could almost be guaranteed to get a nice package of players/prospects.

Ozzie Guillen was comparing the whole thing to a soap opera in the papers this weekend. I think everyone's getting sick of hearing and talking about it, even the White Sox players and management. Either sign the guy or trade him already. What's with all the drama?
