The Chicago White Sox and P Javier Vazquez have agreed to a new three-year, $34.5 million dollar contract extension. According to the Associated Press, "Over the past nine years, Vazquez ranks among the major league leaders in strikeouts (fifth), starts (sixth) and innings (eighth). He is the only pitcher with 10 wins, 30 starts and 150 strikeouts in each of the last seven seasons." So I'm guessing, judging by those figures, that re-signing him was a good idea, don't you think?

That's a controversial comment, Lefty Noob.

In my opinion, I don't think he was a great signing. For that kind of money, they could've pulled in someone better. I believe some of the other pitchers around the league, of even higher popularity and skills, get paid the same or less than his new salary.

Also, he has been all over for the past few years.
