MLB.com is reporting that the Chicago White Sox have signed free agent outfielder Darin Erstad to a one-year contract. Erstad is expected to fill in for the injured Scott Podsednik, who will miss six weeks with a groin injury, and then will go to the bench. Good signing?

Erstadt is a good player but he's always injured. So it depends on how healthy he stays.

This could really help the ChiSox ... with Posednik slumping last year and Brian Anderson .. well he just sucks ... Erstad could receive some major playing time.

Thome was always injured before coming to the Sox and he has done very well ...
