Looking through the headlines, it seems like the Champs might be involved in quite a few potential trades in the near future.

One deal would have Chicago sending P Jose Contreras and OF Jermaine Dye to Philly for OF Bobby Abreu and P Gavin Floyd. Another has Contreras possibly going to the Mets for pitchers Lastings Milledge and Aaron Heilman, and yet another has them looking to deal for 2B Jose Vidro of Washington.

Think any of these proposed deals will actually happen?

Contreras is being shopped, no doubt about that, but there's no chance that the White Sox get a top tier prospect like a Floyd or Milledge.

Well, crazy or not, that seems to be the level of prospect they're looking for. Of course, I guess the Mets told them Milledge and Heilman were untouchable, so I don't know where the ChiSox go from here. Why are they so eager to deal Contreras, anyway?

Asking for top level prospects for Jose Contreras is like the Devil Rays asking for the whole farm in turn for Julio Lugo.

Milledge is an outfielder, not a pitcher, as far as the Mets deal goes. As for the Phillies dealing Abreu and Floyd (at time their top pitching prospect) for Dye and Contreras or anybody else, it ain't gonna happen. Why? What does Philly get in that deal?

Hey, more White Sox trade rumors for everyone! Multiple media outlets are reporting that the team is looking to deal either Javier Vazquez or Freddy Garcia for some bullpen help, possibly to the Mets or possibly for Tom Gordon. Gordon would be a good fit for the ChiSox, but I'd hate to see them give up either of those starters, you know?

The White Sox trade rumors have surrounded starter Jon Garland. Some reports say the ChiSox would consider moving him or Jose Contreras this off-season.
