| Should people worry about the curse? In response to a dead goat being next to Harry Carey's statue in Wrigleyville, Carol Slezak who has quickly became my least favorite Sun-Times sports coulmnist wrote a column saying if everyone shut up about the goat the Cubs might winning something. Would it work? I doubt it would, if you have as good of a team as we did last year and you still get swept there is some weird karmatic thing hurting you. But would forgetting about the goat make it disappear? When will people stop obsessing with that goat? :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Carol Slezak

2. Maybe the choke because all the players come and they get so worked up about the "curse". Therfore, they play bad. |

I'm stealing Bill Simmons theory on how the Cubs will win a World Series and thats a dramatic karma swing, like getting down 2-0 in the NLCS and then as they are about to go down 3-0, Soriano hits a game winning home run or something like that. Weird karmatic swing |

So if it cant be an individual according to Bears theory, then its the bad karma of the Dallas Cowboys who havent won or gone beyond the first playoffs in like 13 years. So their bad karma affected Tony Romo. By Bears' theory, Cowboys and Cubs have bad karma. The goat and bobbled snap are only symptoms of the disease.
