Cubs vs. White Sox The first game of the Cubs v. White Sox series was a masterpiece for Buehrle who pictched nine innings giving up only one run on two hits. Maddux struggled against the powerful Sox and gave up six runs in less than six innings on nine hits. I guess Rusch is in the bullpen now since Wood is in the rotation.

| Re: Cubs vs. White Sox The second game of the series vs the White Sox was not much better for the Cubs as tempers flared. There was a fight between the two opposing catchers and a brawl ensued. | It was definitely Barrett's fault. He was stunned and just lost it. I don't think Pierzinsky should be suspended. They weren't really friends per se, but they did baseball camps together so they got along. |

Re: Cubs vs. White Sox Hey you know regardless of how many people say that the Cubs/Sox rivarly isn't as heated as say a BoSox/Yanks or a Yanks/Mets there is still some bad blood between these teams. I would like to see Zambrano mow these guys down. If anybody can he can. On the mound for the White Sox is the undefeated Jose Contreras who has a mind boggling 1.41 era.

Re: Cubs vs. White Sox A J Pierzinski is the absolute most hated man in baseball by the players, bar nobody. He runs his mouth all the time, trying to take players out of their game. I am sure that Barrett was more than happy to pop him, even though AJ had done nothing wrong. It was a case of a guy getting what he deserved, even though what he did at the time didn't warrant it. If you polled major league baseball, 99 per cent of the players would tell you they wish that Barrett had really laid one on him. The other 1 per cent would be lying.

Re: Cubs vs. White Sox I hate liars, legend. I'd be part of that 1% though because Pierzinski is on my fantasy baseball team and I would hate to see him die on me. Jose Contreras used to play in pinstripes. Do you think the Yankees regret trading him away for (I think Esteban Loazia)?

Re: Cubs vs. White Sox The Cubs pulled this one out by somehow inconceivably scoring four runs on the White Sox pitcher Garcia and then three more against their bullpen. Zambrano pitched seven and only gave up four runs on 113 pitches which is actually pretty high. WTG Cubs.
