Eight in a row

When are the Cubs gonna have a decent team. I mean you can't expect them to win the Central with the Astros, Cards, and this year the Red Hots, but eight losses in a row. I mean this is really depressing.

Re: Eight in a row

The Cubs had a decent team in 2003, but their dreams were cut short.

I admit that the Cubs have a very hard chance to make it to the playoffs. If only they were in a different division (without the Cardinals).

Build for the future is the key for the present (excluding the Florida Marlins)--MJHMarc

Re: Eight in a row

Thanks Marc for the encouragement. And also thanks for reminding me of the great season that the Cubs had in '03. That really was a decent team with Prior and Wood. Oh and also thank you for reminding me that even when the Cubs have a decent team that we Cubs fans have to be totally disappointed anyway and in the worst way. THANKS!

Cool Re: Eight in a row

Would the Cubs be as beloved if they did not find a way to kill their season every year?...

I mean... heck without the run of bad luck...what would be the charm?

With the injuries to fastball pictchers like Prior and Wood, maybe you should hire a few rubber arm knuckleballers...teach the kids on the farm to throw one...give up on the big heat pitches

Re: Eight in a row

I read something here yesterday about "the Curse of a Goat"? As you might remember from the 2004 and 2005 seasons, all curses are reversable.

The main reason the Cubs don't do so well is because of team injuries. They got the players of a potential championship team, but they get benched with injuries.

Mark Prior, Kerry Wood, Derrek Lee, etc.
