Angel Guzman Today is the first start for Angel Guzman. Its important what he does today because the guy played well in spring training. If the Cubs can just stay above ground until Derek Lee comes back ...well then we wont be 10 games back from the Astros. But seriously, Guzman is a hot prospect. This day is a long time coming. Check out this article I found on him. http://www.baseballamerica.com/today...p10s/cubs.html

Re: Angel Guzman He pitched alright in his first major-league start. 5.0 IN, 6 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 4 BB, 5 SO, 1 HR, 87 PC-52 ST, 5.40 ERA Those are some impressive numbers for a rookie. He needs a little work on: --BBs, 4 is a lot for five innings of work. --ERA/ER but it is good for a rookie. --ST, more strikes please! If he improves on those stats, then he may be the next Roger Clemens.

Re: Angel Guzman MJH, Gosh youre not being sarcastic or anything are you? Hey all I was saying is that the Cubs are doing a fantastic job of keeping their pitching staff together based on the Prior/Wood debacle. Zambrano and Maddux are leading and Marshall and Rusch are hangin tough. If this guy Angel is all he is cracked up to be ....and Wood or Prior come back, its a tough staff.

Re: Angel Guzman I am sarcastic on some stuff (but as needed). You quoted, "But seriously, Guzman is a hot prospect" in the earlier post. Well, I thought he is a top prospect too. Is there anything wrong with that?
