One day after ripping into Cubs fans for booing yet another one of his poor outings, Carlos Zambrano did his best to make amends today.

Via the Chicago Tribune's Hardball blog:

"The first thing I want to do is apologize to the Cubs fans," Zambrano said in a news conference Tuesday. "There were some moments (Monday) when I was angry. When human beings are angry, they say a lot of things they shouldn't say, and I am human. I made a mistake, and the thing about me is that when I make a mistake, I know I have to apologize and do the correct thing.

"This comes from my heart. I love these fans. I love the Cubs fans. I think they're the greatest fans in baseball, and you know, they have the right to boo people or to do whatever they have to do, because they've been waiting 98 years (for a championship) and sometimes we don't do a good job and they get frustrated, too.

That's the issue with Zambrano, he's a hot head. He lets his emotions get to him. He has to learn to tone that down a bit.

That's why he has the label of being immature.

I watched the press confernce live he seemed sorry but you can not take back what you said after you said it

He is very emotional. It really helps him at times when he is pitching but then it completely destroys him in situations like this.
