| Zambrano NL's first 12 game winner Carlos Zambrano pitched five shutout innings, becoming the first 12 game winner in the National League with Chicago's 12-1 thrashing of San Francisco yesterday. According to the Associated Press, "Zambrano (12-7) allowed two hits and the Cubs gave him more than enough offense in their fifth win in six games since the All-Star break and 17th in 22 overall." So is Carlos making a possible run at a Cy Young Award here?

| Re: Zambrano NL's first 12 game winner Yeah he is. What's funny to me is that a lot of people were freaking out at how he started but it's no different than any year. He starts out slow then really get's going after the first month. And with the Cubs providing more run support this year, I would def say he could make a run at the Cy Young.

| Re: Zambrano NL's first 12 game winner Zambrano was the first 12 game winner of the season, and now he's reached another milestone. According to the AP, "Zambrano became the majors' first 14-game winner and finished with three hits to help the Chicago Cubs beat the Cincinnati Reds 6-0 Sunday." Hottest pitcher in baseball right now, is he not? |
