| Prior sent to minors Well, I guess we have our answer about what's next for Cubs pitcher Mark Prior. It's the minor leagues. According to the Associated Press, "Prior, whose career has been slowed by an assortment of injuries, was optioned to Triple-A Iowa right after his final spring training start." Cubs GM Jim Hendry says there's no timetable for a possible return to the big leagues. Reactions?

| Re: Prior sent to minors Normally I'd agree, but what has he ever proven? I think maybe going to the minors and working on his delivery, maybe cutting down on whatever's causing him to get injured so doggone much, isn't the worst thing he could be doing right now. |

| Re: Prior sent to minors I think you will kill his confidence...and he has proved that when not hurt he is a high K low BB, power pitcher with control...I do not like the move...trade him if he don't fit your rotation...hell...Kerry Wood has been injured as much if not more...and even when his Whip was high, you did not see them ship him to the minors. |

| Re: Prior sent to minors I think they should cut them both loose. Neither one has panned out to be the pitcher they showed they could be. The Cubs are past the point where they can get much for them. I think they are unwilling to part with them because they don't want them catching on with another team and figuring out how to pitch injury free. This would make the team look like even bigger jackasses than they are for keeping them around for so long. |
