| Chicago close to signing Cliff Floyd According to the Associated Press, "Cliff Floyd and the Chicago Cubs are nearing agreement on a one-year contract, a deal that may include an option for 2008 that the outfielder can control." Floyd was injured last year, but he's a career .279 hitter and, more importantly, he's a left-handed bat. I think it'd be a good idea for the Cubbies to sign him. What do you guys think?

| Re: Chicago close to signing Cliff Floyd I would still keep Soriano in left. They have a young kid, Felix Pie, that is supposed to be ready this year to play center. I have heard great things about him. Does anybody besides the Yankees have a more potent offense that the Cubs?? With the possible addition of Floyd, they will be deep too. |
