| Ty Corbin new leader in race to be Bulls' coach? The Salt Lake City Tribune reports that the Bulls have asked the Utah Jazz for permission to interview assistant coach Tyrone Corbin for their vacant head-coaching position. Corbin, a former DePaul star, is in his third year as an assistant to Jerry Sloan and is considered an up-and-coming young coach. An interview wouldn't take place until the Jazz are out of the playoffs. They trail the Los Angeles Lakers 3-2 with Game 6 tonight. ''It's been great working in the Utah organization, especially with coach Sloan,'' Corbin told the Sun-Times recently by telephone between games of the second-round series against the Lakers.
