| Blackhawks draft RW Patrick Kane COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -The Chicago Blackhawks, trying to rebuild a once-proud franchise after four consecutive losing seasons, selected Patrick Kane with the first pick of the NHL draft on Friday night... Kane, a 5-foot-9, 160-pound right wing, is a native of Buffalo, N.Y., who scored 62 goals and had 83 assists in 58 games last season with the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League. | Chicago Blackhawks officially introduce top pick Patrick Kane CHICAGO (AP) - Patrick Kane is still a teenager, yet the Chicago Blackhawks are already counting on him to spark their dormant offence for many years to come. His chance could come as early as next season. The Blackhawks, to selected Kane. 18, with the first overall pick in the NHL draft Friday, introduce their phenom to reporters Monday. He arrived with impressive scoring totals in junior hockey and the belief that he can put up similar numbers on the big stage. | Re: Chicago Blackhawks officially introduce top pick Patrick Kane he seems like a great a guy and a great player hes been on every Radio show and talk show in town maybe he can have a crosby like impact to get the Blackhawks to the playoffs |
