Running backs Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson have taken turns on the shelf with injuries and on the hot seat with the coaching staff. While both will be part of the rotation in the regular season, the job as the featured back in the Bears' run-oriented offense is undecided.

Why is this job undecided?...Its just screwing up fantasy drafts...my mnoey is on Benson because at some point some GM has to justify picking him in the 1st round.

It's undecided because they want Benson to play, but how do you bench Jones after last season? They need to find an excuse to bench him and/or a reason to play Cedric, but neither back is giving the staff what they need. I really think the front office is going to have their hand forced, and they're going to have to play Jones.

I would make Benson the starter but by all means use 'em both! Thatll give the Bears a backfield reminiscent of the Raiders Jackson/Allen backfield! The Bears with their line will make last years Steeler running game look like this years SF 49ers!

I agree with Trashed. Go with both of them. Nothing like some fresh legs in the 4th quarter.
