LAKE FOREST, Ill. (July 5, 2006) -- The
Chicago Bears agreed to four-year contracts with second-round draft pick
Danieal Manning and third-round choice
Dusty Dvoracek.
Manning, a safety from Abilene Christian, was chosen with the 42nd pick -- the Bears' first of the draft. He had 159 tackles, 11 interceptions, 13 pass breakups, six forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries in college. Dvoracek, a defensive tackle from Oklahoma, had 131 tackles and 16 sacks.
Manning and Dvoracek were the last of the Bears' seven draft picks to agree to contracts.
So now everyone in Chicago (draft picks that is) is signed...I am still no sure why the Bears with needs at receiver stocked piled the Defense.
