Re: Willie Gault world record

You guys remember one-time Chicago Bears wide receiver Willie Gault? Well over the weekend he set a world record of 10.72 seconds in the master's 100 meters, a division for athletes aged 45 to 49. And afterwards he told reporters that he was "pretty satisfied" with his time. Looks like Gault's still got it, eh?

That's not a bad time...Olympic Qualifying use to be 10.40 for a while...most NFl players with speed would run between 10.3 to 10.5...the man still has wheels.

Cool Re: Willie Gault world record

They should have Herb Washington run in the race for 60 year olds. Does everyone remember him on the A's? All he did was pinch run. He was another part of Charley Finley's gimmicks.

Yep...stole a bunch of bases and scored runs...the rosters where one deeper...I think it was in 1974...in the mist of their three year series run.
