| Mike Brown returns to practice field at camp ![]() LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Back in the Bears secondary after recovering from yet another serious leg injury, Mike Brown intercepted passes in minicamp practices Saturday and Sunday. It obviously wasn’t as impressive of a feat as the veteran safety’s overtime touchdowns on interception returns in back-to-back games in 2001. But it was a remarkable accomplishment nonetheless given the unfortunate setbacks Brown has endured the past four seasons. After playing in all 64 games during his first four years with the Bears, Brown missed the final 14 contests in 2004 with a torn Achilles’ tendon, the last four games in 2005 with a calf injury, the final 10 contests in 2006 with a torn foot ligament and the last 15 games last year with a torn ACL sustained in the season opener in San Diego. “It feels good,” Brown said of his knee. “I guess I’m kind of used to getting back from injury and stuff like that, so it’s no big deal for me. I’m mentally tough and I’m able to do it. I know I can do it. It’s been good though; I feel great. But hopefully I won’t have to go through it again.” Resilient Brown returns to anchor Bears secondary - Chicago Bears
