LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Bears enjoyed a productive day on and off the field Friday at Halas Hall, not only kicking off their mandatory three-day minicamp with a spirited non-contact practice but signing six of their 12 draft picks.

Inking four-year deals were fifth-round tight end Kellen Davis and all five of Chicago’s seventh-round choices: defensive end Ervin Baldwin, guard Chester Adams, linebacker Joey LaRocque, offensive tackle Kirk Barton and receiver Marcus Monk.

The six signed draftees tie the Bears with the Miami Dolphins for the most in the NFL. Chicago was the first NFL team to have all of its draft picks signed in 2006 and among the first organizations to do so in 2007.

Marcus Monk, the receiver from Arkansas probably stick, because of the Bears need at receiver and Erwin Baldwin could make practice squad.
