| Bears' top pick Williams vows not to hold out Chris Williams made his Halas Hall debut today, and promised to be on time for training camp. “I don’t have any interest in holding out,” he said. “Hold out is not in my vocabulary.” The 6-6, 315-pound Vanderbilt left tackle said he was so excited when the Bears made him their first pick (No. 14 overall) on Saturday that he “was speechless for the first time in my life.” Although considered a better pass blocker than run blocker by many scouts, Williams described himself as a balanced player. “I pass block well and I run block well,” he said, adding that he would do “anything they need me to do.” Williams vows not to hold out; eager to prove himself :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Bears
