Bears sign 10 undrafted free agents

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Quarterbacks Nick Hill of Southern Illinois and Caleb Hanie of Colorado State were among 10 undrafted free agents who agreed to terms with the Bears on Monday.

Hill is a quick, smart and hard-working prospect with average arm strength who didn’t face top competition at SIU. As a senior, he completed 258 of 361 passes for 3,175 yards with 28 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. He originally went to Western Kentucky on a basketball scholarship in 2003 before transferring to Southern Illinois and redshirting in 2004.

The rest of the group includes Montana OT Cody Balogh, UCLA DB Trey Brown, Pittsburgh DE Joe Clermond, Oregon DT David Faaeteete, Western Kentucky WR Curtis Hamilton, St. Xavier PK Shane Longest, Indiana DB Leslie Majors and San Diego State DE Nick Osborn.

Honestly a few of these players may be worth a look on the practice squad, but not much else (all you can really expect from UDFA's though).
