| Re: Brian Urlacher Has Neck Surgery; Bears Cross Their Fingers The "minor" surgery performed was speculated to be due to a herniated disc or pinched nerve. Any serious operation such as "spinal fusion" would have benched the Best linebacker in the NFL for at the very least a whole season. Most of us who cant afford the surgery just either see a chiropractor, or suffer through the pain. In other words, its not career threatening...(slow your role Goth!!) Urlacher will be back to lead the once again dominant Bears defense next season!!!! p.s. The only time I've seen a Brian Bosworth highlight was when he was getting ran over by Bo Jackson. Comparing him to Urlacher is like comparing Cedric Benson to Walter Payton...it should never happen! |

...and the Boz might be Benson to Payton...but he nevertheless was bounced out of football over an injury...even the great Butkus in the 1970's was a crippled shell of his former self...

| Re: Brian Urlacher Has Neck Surgery; Bears Cross Their Fingers Not trying to pick on you Mr. Goth, but riddle me this....how is Bosworth's name once again brought up with PROVEN players, who were injured towards the end of their hall of fame careers. I realize were getting off of the subject of Urlacher, but once again you mention an individual who has the distinction of being ranked the 6th BIGGEST flop on the list of biggest flops of the last 25 years (as voted by ESPN, July 2004) He had a decent couple of years and his potential was high, but he's better off playing a stunt double in the next available comic book movie...to the bat cave!!! |

| Re: Brian Urlacher Has Neck Surgery; Bears Cross Their Fingers Gotcha Dark Knight, next time speak slower and into the michrophone! We Bears fan stick up for our own no matter what, thats why a bears den is alot more dangerous then a bat cave!! |

So let me recap...you are basically saying that as Bears fan you want your ultimate warrior, Urlacher, to risk that chronic back of his, and his slightly damaged neck on a few more seasons of glory...or semi glory?...I guess if they wheel him to his jersey retirement in a few years, it's when Bears fan will shed a tear, and not a moment before...did I get it right that time? |

| Re: Brian Urlacher Has Neck Surgery; Bears Cross Their Fingers They may be in denial Goth. Heck, so would I be if I were them. But for now, it looks like it is a pinched nerve. That doesnt necessarily mean that his neck is weak. He has an arthritic back, but I dont know how bad it is. If he has arthritis in his back, it could be that he has it in his neck too. That's what happened to me. I believe he will be back this year, but looks like the handwriting may be on the wall Bears fan. Start getting used to it. By the way, my arthritis did sideline me.
