| Vasher Done for the Year LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Bears on Thursday placed cornerback Nate Vasher on injured reserve and signed wide receiver Brandon Rideau to their 53-man roster. After missing 10 games with a groin injury, Vasher returned with a vengeance Dec. 17 in Minnesota, intercepting a pass and making a hit that led to another interception. But he was forced to sit out last Sunday’s win over the Packers and held out of practice Wednesday due to the nagging injury that limited him to just four games in 2007. Rideau originally joined the Bears in 2006 and spent the season on Chicago’s practice squad. He remained with the team in 2007, catching five passes for 87 yards in two preseason games before being sidelined by an ankle injury. Rideau was waived/injured on Aug. 27. Bears place Vasher on IR, sign Rideau

| Re: Vasher Done for the Year It was stupid to bring him back in the first place. No doubt he kicked ass in his first game back but it was pointless to bring Vasher back and risk another injury to Vasher which is what happend. |
