| Vasher likely Playing Tonight MINNEAPOLIS -- Looks like Nathan Vasher's ''miracle'' will happen after all. That's not a big surprise, though, as the Bears cornerback duped many but not all last week when he said it was almost certain he would not play tonight against the Minnesota Vikings. Vasher practiced in limited form all week, and a source close to the player said Sunday night that it looked like he would play for the first time in nearly three months. Vasher is expected to be a game-time decision. Vasher has missed the last 10 games with a partially torn groin muscle suffered Sept. 23 against the Dallas Cowboys. He has been evasive about the injury the whole time, a frustrating situation for a former Pro Bowl player who signed a $28million extension in the offseason. Rookie Trumaine McBride figures to play plenty, though, as the Bears will work Vasher in slowly. While Vasher admitted that he wouldn't be surprised or upset if the team put him on injured reserve in recent weeks, Lovie Smith has been adamant that if he can help at all before the end of the year, the Bears want him. If Vasher can return, it certainly will help him build some momentum moving into 2008. Source: Vasher likely to play

| Re: Vasher likely Playing Tonight No he didn't imo. Did they win the game? Are they going to the playoffs? No. If he was or is 90 to 100% than I don't have a problem with that. But they said he was limited in practice. If he would have pulled or strained his groin again it could have been bad news. All in all though Vasher played real well, and it was good to see him back out there making an impact. No doubt he was missed in the secondary. |
